A glass of white wine inverts the image of the grounds of Taverna Winery & Restaurant in Conroe. Marigolds, oregano, mint, spearmint, English thyme, and lemon thyme are among the herbs growing in barrels on the grounds. Chef Jimmy Mitchell, the new executive chef at Taverna Winery & Restaurant is also a master gardner. He has started a "kitchen friendly" garden that he can use to help supply his kitchen.
